What is SMA Gold Prem*?

SMA Gold Prem* is a nutritionally complete, whey based formula for preterm babies in hospital.

Expert guidelines, published by Tsang et al¹ in 2005, recommend a nutritional composition for low birth weight formulae, based on recent developments in this field.

SMA Gold Prem has recently been reformulated in response to the Tsang guidelines to have an improved nutritional content.

Well-absorbed, well-tolerated vegetable fat blend.²
Contains appropriate levels of LCPs^† that are well tolerated by preterm infants.²
Well tolerated – lower levels of lactose for lower osmolality.³
Increased protein, calcium and phosphorus for bone mineralization.⁴
The only pre-term formula suitable for vegetarians.²
