Benefits of SMA Wysoy*

SMA Wysoy is a nutritionally complete soya protein-based infant formula that’s suitable from birth onwards.

It contains no cows’ milk protein, lactose or sucrose. Wysoy has better palatability than, and is less expensive than, hydrolyzed formulae.

Cooking with Wysoy

If an infant has been diagnosed with cows’ milk protein intolerance, it can be difficult for parents to know how they can provide a milk-free diet, especially when their child is ready for weaning.

SMA Wysoy can be substituted for cows’ milk on almost all occasions. For example, it can be used on breakfast cereals, in mashed potato or in any other dishes that require milk.

SMA Nutrition has developed an information booklet that helps parents understand cows’ milk protein intolerance. The booklet also gives recipe ideas for infants from 6 months up until 1 year.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Breast feeding is best for babies.  SMA WYSOY milk free formula is intended to replace breast milk when mothers do not breast feed and to meet the nutritional needs of infants and children who are intolerant to cows' milk protein, lactose or sucrose.  You should always seek the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietitian or pharmacist on the need for and proper method of use of infant formulae and on all matters of infant feeding.  Soya infant formulae are not suitable for premature babies or those with kidney problems, where medical guidance should always be sought.
