Accumulating evidence suggests that HMOs have important physiologic functions in early newborn development1-3 however, in-hospital HMO supplementation for preterm infants had not been clinically tested.
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of preterm infants evaluated the effects of HMO supplementation on feeding tolerance, growth and safety from 7 neonatal units in France4.

We believe that breastfeeding is the ideal nutritional start for babies as breast milk provides a balanced diet and protection against illness for a baby.
